Pastors of Los Angeles Reality Show

The TV Network Oxygen Media is giving Gospel Reality TV a chance with its own reality show titled Pastors of L.A. The show will feature the lives of Southern California pastors.

“‘Pastors of L.A.’ will give viewers a candid look at six boldly different and world renowned mega-pastors in Southern California, who are willing to share diverse aspects of their lives, from their work in the community and with their parishioners to the very large and sometimes provocative lives they lead away from the pulpit,” according to a press release from Oxygen.

“Pastors of L.A.” will feature Bishop Clarence McClendon, senior pastor of Full Harvest International Church, Pastor Wayne Chaney of Antioch Church of Long Beach,Bishop Ron M. Gibson of Life Church of God In Christ and The Sanctuary Church’s Lead Pastor Jay Haizlip, who is also a skateboarding pioneer.mIn addition to Bishop Noel Jones and Deitrick Haddon,

I’m a huge fan of reality TV and I will admit that reality TV is WINING nowadays however, I’m not a fan of seeing Pastors, Bishops, Apostles etc on TV. Where is the standard of these men of God? Now don’t get me wrong it will be interesting to see to the human side of these pastors and the real world in which they live and work, but lets be honest who really cares. I feel these preachers signed on to create a bigger name for them selfs and there churches. Remember what you only do for CHRIST will last! I will admit though I’m going to be watching for one reason and that’s Detirick Haddon he’s one to watch. Hopefully we get to see his new wife and baby!

Will you be watching?

I agree there’s isnt nothing interesting about these pastors. They are giving away shows left and right

Haddon is divorced and has one foot in the secular world and one in church, McClendon is divorced, Noel Jones just had a King David affair that resulted in the birth of an illegitimate child from an adulterous affair, Gibson is a cry baby who had a tantrum when he was not selected as the Bishop of the 2nd Jurisdiction. It is all about the money and I have lost all respect for these men of whatever. I know retired pimps with better reputations.

  6. I have to say that I’m a bit disappointed in this program. I was hoping for a show that would give guidance in how pastors handle the different situations that may arise within the church community. Examples of pastors exercising forgiveness, working with difficult people within a department/auxiliary/congregation, etc., is what I wanted to see.

This is the public hearing of the pastor’s lifestyles. I, for one, am not interested. Moreover, the image that non-believers now can use as ammunition is and will be regrettable. It’s difficult enough to convince someone to follow Christ Jesus. Now, they will compare their lives to minister’s lifestyles and either condemn them for living off of tithes and offerings, or refer to, “they’re no better than I am, what’s the difference”.

A non-believer’s mind set is clearly different and their reasoning will not have the spiritual understand, nor will they see things with a spiritual eye, so to speak.

Sad, but I believe that this show should be revamped.
